A few months ago I was in Bangkok. Every time I went up to a Skytrain station there was a green colored kiosk selling "Green Music". A set of 9 CD's with very enchanting music, which echoed through the stations. It made waiting for the train a pleasure. I bought the CD's, and forgot all about them. Until last week, when I decided to add them to my "background music" playlist at work. Some of the pieces, which I assume I must have heard at the stations, seem to have a strange power. The power to transport me to those moments in Bangkok. It's strange how a simple note of music can trigger all the senses into a virtual reality.... smell.... sensation.... temperature..... humidity.... and even flashes of things seen in another time.....
For those who look for music to work with, I recommend this set of Green Music by Chamras Saewataporn.
Someone seems to have shared one of the CD's in full-length. I won't endorse piracy, but it won't hurt to listen to some of the stuff.
First I thought of mentioning a few that I like, but then I didn't want to taint your experience. I hope this music will touch your heart, as it has mine.
